dad spent many years in the forces both here and in australia, which was the place he loved most. born in wales he moved with his parents and 12 brothers and sisters to hemel hempstead where he grew up.
joined the navy for some years then became a civie. then left england for australia for 16 years, he then moved back to england. and was finally and happily reunited with me his daughter after many years appart due to the wrongfull intervention of a certain family member who then saw to it that we were parted again. mick was ill for some years and moved to clacton where he lived alone. he also had 2 sons who never had the chance to know him. he passed away in his flat alone and broken, his children were not told of his death untill a couple of years later. we were robbed of the chance to know him and give him a decent burial.
he was a very proud man and during the time we were given together i was very proud of him and loved him very much. we had some great times together but unfortunately there were not enough of them.
i love you dad and hope that you know how much. i am so sorry time was so short for us but will never forget you. there was a song that you sang to me when you arrived home from australia, daddies home to stay but you couldnt stay and i wish so much you could.
